Passion for Solid Wood
Riva 1920 is a family owned business and it's manufacturing is driven by the combination of passion for carpentry and utilizing technological innovation. In order to protect the environment, the company works only with wood providers of reforestation. Each trunk is cut through technologically advanced machinery, which guarantees the best accuracy. The solid wood pieces are then put together with natural vinyl-based glues without any chemical residues, followed by manually polishing with natural waxes and oils. Each piece is then assembled by carpenters on a one-by-one basis under the supervision of the Quality Control expert.

The Pleat Box pendant is the creative result of the collaboration between Xavier Mañosa, a master ceramicist from Barcelona, and the Mashallah design studio in Berlin with Marset. The inspiration behind the fixture is a sophisticated combination between a digitally designed fold in a piece of cloth and a silhouette that is applied to a ceramic base.
