About JLC

JLC is a Portuguese furniture company founded in 1980 by José Manuel Leite de Castro in Vila do Conde, north of Porto, who still leads it today. Its work moves between classic, contemporary and eclectic styles, held together by close attention to detail.

Pieces are made by hand in JLC's own factories for furniture, upholstery and metalwork, so every stage of production stays in house. Dimensions, materials and finishes can be adjusted to a project, and the company presents its collections at Maison & Objet and Salone del Mobile.

At Mondo Collection, JLC is one of the broadest collections, covering sofas and modular sofas, armchairs, dining tables, coffee and side tables, consoles, sideboards and cabinets, including the Pompeia, Tartaro, Fred, Slate, Ural, Chasa, Enzo, Godo and Bloom pieces. Most are made to order, for residences and hospitality projects alike.
