Calvi Brambilla is a renowned design studio founded in 2006 by architects Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla, who bring a wealth of diverse experience to their collaborative practice.
Fabio Calvi, born in 1969, pursued his studies at Brunel University in West London before graduating in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan. His early career included collaborations with design luminaries Gianfranco Frattini and Ferruccio Laviani, and he later served as Art Director for all Flos installations.
Paolo Brambilla, born in 1973, studied at the UPC in Barcelona and also holds an architecture degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan, where he went on to teach Interior Design at the institution's School of Design.
Together, Calvi and Brambilla have cultivated a versatile studio, undertaking projects that span private residences, offices, retail spaces, captivating installations, and innovative product design. Their extensive list of collaborations includes esteemed brands such as Barovier & Toso, FontanaArte, Flos, Grohe, and Molteni & C.
The studio's excellence has been consistently recognized. In 2015, they received a special mention at the Gold Medal of Italian Architecture at the Milan Triennale and won the exclusive LC50 competition organized by Interni magazine, with an impressive installation for the Cassina showroom in Milan. Their work was further honored in 2016 with a selection for the ADI Design Index for an exhibition design project for Zanotta.
