Gonçalo Campos is a Portuguese product designer known for his smart, humorous approach to design. After graduating in Product Design in 2008, he quickly joined Fabrica, Benetton's communications research center, working within their design studio.
This early experience provided him with opportunities to collaborate with notable brands such as Secondome, Seletti, and Zanotta. In 2009, he further honed his craft at Sam Baron's studio before embarking on his own independent projects, continually exploring design possibilities through a deep understanding of function and material.
Campos excels at discovering simple solutions by thoughtfully utilizing materials and production methods. His process begins "from within the object, towards the outside," resulting in designs that are recognizably "smart" and often carry a touch of humor—a reflection of his relaxed thinking and inquisitive nature.
