A 1998 graduate of Tokyo’s ICS College of Arts, Okamoto spent a decade as a designer in Japan before relocating to Europe. She now works independently from Milan, creating furniture and product designs for a diverse range of high-profile international clients. Okamoto is known for her characteristically playful design philosophy, evident in pieces like the hm77 Cake modular seating system, launched in 2010.
