Louise Dining Table
A study in geometric balance and monolithic form, this dining table pairs tectonic mass with precise architectural joinery.
The curved, barrel-profile tabletop features an angular marquetry surface composition executed in alternating segments of straight-grain gray eucalyptus and honed white marble. The opposing diagonal joints establish an asymmetric dialogue across the expanse, flush-set to highlight the tactile contrast between cool, organic stone veining and the subtle iridescence and fine texture of the figured eucalyptus.
Supporting the cantilevered top are two massive, gently tapered pylon pedestals. Curved on their outer faces to mirror the perimeter of the tabletop, the eucalyptus-clad pedestals ground the structure with monumental visual weight while leaving an open center for seating clearances. Each pedestal terminates at floor level with a recessed metal plinth band, elevating the timber base and introducing a crisp architectural shadow line.
