Mmairo

MMairo is a marble design company founded in 2016 in Carrara, Tuscany, at the foot of the Apuan Alps where the stone is quarried. Its name comes from the Greek marmairo, to shine, the root of the word marble.

The company follows each piece from quarry to finish, working with local Carrara workshops and artisans who hand-finish every surface. Its collections are drawn by international designers, including Karen Chekerdjian, Ivan Colominas and Michele Chiossi, and often pair contrasting marbles for strong color.

At Mondo Collection, MMairo includes side tables, coffee tables, dining tables, consoles, stools and vases, among them the Totem side tables in Portoro, Nero Antico, Blu Sodalite and onyx, and the Inside Out and Tivoli families. Each piece is made to order, and natural variation in the stone makes every one unique.
