Riva 1920

Riva 1920 is a family-run Italian manufacturer based in Cantù, in the Brianza furniture district north of Milan. Since 1920 the company has worked exclusively in solid wood, treating the material as the design itself rather than a surface to be covered.

Its signature pieces use rare and reclaimed timber. Kauri tables are cut from ancient New Zealand kauri logs preserved underground for tens of thousands of years. Briccola pieces reuse the oak mooring posts of the Venetian lagoon, keeping the marks left by water and time. Finishes are natural oils and waxes, with no added treatments.

At Mondo Collection, Riva 1920 covers dining tables, coffee and side tables, benches, stools, beds, nightstands, wardrobes, bookshelves and wine cabinets, including the Kauri, Briccola, Natura, Boss, Bedrock and Cambusa families. Most pieces are made to order in specified sizes and woods, and the collection is suited to both private residences and hospitality spaces.
