Suiseki Console
The Suiseki Console is a contemporary sculptural console table defined by its elongated oval top and architecturally composed solid wood base. Its design explores the relationship between organic geometry and orthogonal construction, balancing fluid contours with a precise arrangement of structural elements.
The generously proportioned oval tabletop introduces a continuous, softened silhouette, contrasting with the geometric composition beneath. The base consists of solid wood supports arranged orthogonally, creating intersecting planes and carefully articulated open spaces. This arrangement establishes a rhythmic interplay between solid volumes and negative space, giving the console a distinctive architectural presence while maintaining visual lightness.
The tabletop is available in marble insert framed by a solid wood perimeter. The contrast between stone and timber introduces an additional layer of material depth, with the surrounding wooden frame defining the tabletop's organic outline.
The console's defining design gesture lies in the dialogue between the horizontal, flowing oval surface and the structured geometry of its supporting base. The orthogonal elements create a sense of architectural order, while the open spaces between them prevent the composition from appearing visually heavy. This balance of curvature, structural precision, and material expression gives the Suiseki Console its sculptural identity.
